Goals for Sunday School Class

Mission Statement

“…. Go and make disciples of all nations…. and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matt. 28:19,20)

” Gather the people together, men and women and children, and thy stranger that is within their gates, that they may fear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law; And that their children, which have not known anything, may hear, and learn to fear the Lord your God.” (Deut. 31:12-13)

Sunday School Ministries
- Evangelizing ( Matt. 9:35-36). - Edifying (Titus 2:7-8). - Equipping (Eph. 4:12-13). - Discipling (Matt. 28:19).

Long Term Goals
- Attaining a personal knowledge of God. - Gaining an understanding of the word of God (Literal and spiritual). - Developing vibrant Christian life. - Achieving loyalty to the church. - Acquiring a sense of responsibility for Christian community and the world.

Short Term Goals
Output Goals:
- Attendance goal. - Enrolment goal. - Offering goal. - Conversion goal. - Baptism goal. - Memory verse goal. - Punctuality goal. - Prepared lesson goal. - Class participation goal.
Input goals:
- Listing new prospects. - The number of visits to make. - The number of phone calls to make. - The number of letters to mail. - The number of people to pray.

Wisdom in Goal-setting
- Make sure your goals are biblical. - Ask God to give you wisdom in setting goals. - Pray over them until you feel comfortable about the goal. - Consider the problems and barriers before announcing them. - When you finally make the decision by prayer, then get off your knees to make it work.
